Car Insurance Daewoo (Car Insurance). Are Lamborghini considered as muscle cars? Are Lamborghini considered as muscle cars? Muscle cars back then were only known as American cars with big power. In today generation there are lots of cars that have big powers engines that are not American, could they be considered as muscle car? Yes it is a powerful car but American people won't accept that, In general Lamborgini are consider Exotic class vehicle. They could be, but all the die-hard Americans will say no. I think they should, but they have different classifications for different vehicles. For example, there are versions of both the Chevy Corvette and the Dodge Viper that are considered supercars, as are Lamborghinis and Ferarris. I believe the Bugatti Veyron is considered an ultracar or something like that. Absolutely not. To be a muscle car, you get a coupe with a big V8, with a stick shift and rear-wheel drive, horrendous mileage and handling worthy of a delivery truck. A Lambo is a light, dainty little AWD mid-engined supercar. They're 2 completely different classes of cars. HELL NO. Muscle Cars were these giants blocks of steel with BIG BLOCK V-8's that could kick some A$$. Lamborghinis do the same thing, they just have a different approach. Daewoo . How to Lower an '86 Chevy TruckThe second-to-last year that Chevrolet produced its third generation model pickup truck was 1986. Recently, these trucks have begun to gain a following in both the restoration and customization world due to the ease with which they can be found in solid running condition, as well as the clean, uncluttered body styling that allows custom truck enthusiasts to unleash their creative talents. Lowering these trucks using the standard rear block and front spindle replacement is the easiest, least expensive and the best way to maintain the ride characteristics of the stock vehicle while bringing it significantly closer to the pavement. Difficulty:Moderately Challenging Instructions Things You'll Need Automotive jack Jack stands Lug wrench 1/2-inch-drive socket set 1/2-inch-drive hex bits Small flat-head screwdriver Rear axle lowering block kit Front spindle lowering kitInstall the Rear Block Step by Step : 1 Jack up the truck, then use jack stands to support its frame. Use the lug wrench to remove the wheel lugs, then pull the wheels off of the hubs and set them aside. 2 Support the rear axle of the truck with the jack, then examine the suspension components. The axle is mounted to the leaf spring suspension with two shackles on each side of the truck. The shackles are installed over the top of the axle housing and then down through a mounting plate attached to the bottom of the leaf spring. Under the mounting plate, there are four nuts which secure the shackle to the mounting plate. 3 Unbolt the shackles using the 1/2-inch drive socket set. With the bolts removed, push the shackles up and out of the mounting plate, then over and off of the axle. 4 Use the jack to raise the axle of the truck until you can slide one of the suspension blocks between the axle and the leaf spring. With the block in place, install the replacement shackles over the top of the axle, then through the mounting plate on the leaf spring. Secure the shackles with the nuts provided with the lowering block kit. The installation procedure is the same on both the driver and passenger side of the truck. Install the Front Lowering Spindles Step by Step : 1 Examine the front suspension components of the truck. The disc brake is located immediately in front of you, with the brake caliper located on the brake disc and situated toward the back of the truck. Above the brake disc is the upper control arm and the upper ball joint. Situated toward the front of the truck is the tie rod, which is bolted to the steering arm of the spindle. Below the brake disc is the lower control arm and the lower ball joint nut. 2 Unbolt the brake caliper using the ratchet fitted with a hex bit, then remove it from the brake disc and allow it to hang gently to the side of the spindle. Pull the brake disc off of the wheel lugs. No tools are necessary to pull off the brake disc. Behind the brake disc, you will see the wheel lugs mounted to the wheel hub. There is a metal cover which protects the inner hub and retains grease. Use a small screwdriver to pry off the metal cover and reveal the nut below. 3 Use the socket wrench to remove the bolt located within the center of the wheel hub. With the bolt removed, the hub can be slipped off of the spindle shaft. 4 Unbolt the tie rod from the steering arm of the spindle, then allow the tie rod to hang to the side. Support the lower control arm with the jack and then remove the upper and lower ball joint nuts. Lift the upper control arm with your hands to release and remove the spindle from its mounting position, then install the replacement spindle onto the control arms. Install and tighten the ball joint nuts, then bolt the tie rod to the the steering arm of the spindle. 5 Reassemble the hub and the brake components of the truck. The installation procedure for the spindles is the same on both the driver and passenger side of the truck. Tips & Warnings While the spindle is removed from the truck, check if the ball joints need servicing.
Daewoo . How to Lower a 67-72 Chevy TruckInstalling a lowering kit onto an early model Chevrolet C10 is one of the quickest and easiest ways to add a contemporary classic look to your truck. The best installation for these trucks is the common spindle/block lowering method, also known as a static drop, meaning that the suspension cannot be adjusted, as one could with an air suspension setup. The static drop is far more economical, and takes less time to install. Difficulty:Moderate Instructions Things You'll Need Automotive jack Jack stands Lug wrench Needle nose pliers Small flat screwdriver 1/2-inch drive socket set Rear suspension lowering blocks Front suspension lowering spindles Step by Step : 1 Jack up the truck and support the frame with jack stands. Use the lug wrench to remove the front and rear wheels from the truck, then set the wheels and tires aside. 2 Examine the rear suspension of the truck. Arching below the frame are the leaf springs. The axle is bolted to the leaf springs with two shackles on each side. The shackles are mounted over the top of the axle, through a mounting plate on the leaf springs, then secured from under the leaf springs with four nuts. 3 Support the rear axle of the truck with a jack stand, then use the socket wrench to remove the bolts securing the shackles to the leaf springs and the axle. Remove the shackles and discard them. The suspension lowering block kit includes new shackles. 4 Jack up the rear axle of the truck until you can slide a lowering block between the axle and the leaf springs. Install the replacement shackles over the top of the axle, down past the lowering block, then through the mounting plate on the leaf springs. Secure the shackles into place using the nuts supplied with the kit. Installation of the lowering blocks is the same on both the driver and passenger sides of the truck. Install the Front Lowering Spindles Step by Step : 1 Examine the front suspension. Facing you is the drum brake. At the 12 o'clock position, you will see the upper control arm that attaches the suspension to the frame of the truck, as well as the upper ball joint nut. At the six o'clock position, you will see the lower control arm and lower ball joint nut. Toward the front of the truck, you will find the steering linkage bolted to the steering arm of the spindle. 2 Pull the drum brake off of the brake shoes. You do not need tools for this step. Inside the brake drum, you will find the springs for the brake shoes and the mounting bolts securing the drum brake backing plate to the spindle. In the center of the brake is the wheel hub, covered with a metal cap. Use a pair of needle nosed pliers to disassemble the springs for the brake shoes, then remove the brake shoes. 3 Unbolt the brake drum backing plate from the spindle and remove it from around the wheel hub. Use a small flat screwdriver to pry off the metal cover on the wheel hub and expose the nut located within. Use a socket wrench to remove the nut securing the wheel hub in position, then pull the wheel hub off of the stock spindle. 4 Support the lower control arm with the jack, then remove the bolt holding the steering linkage to the steering arm of the spindle. Allow the steering linkage to hang freely. Unbolt the upper ball joint, then the lower ball joint. Push up with your hands on the upper control arm to release the stock spindle from the control arms. 5 Install the replacement drop suspension spindle into the upper and lower control arms as the stock spindle was mounted. Replace the upper and lower ball joint nuts, then install the steering linkage into the steering arm of the replacement spindle and secure it with a bolt. Reconstruct the wheel hub and drum brakes. The procedure for replacing the truck's spindle is the same on both the driver and passenger sides. Replace the truck's wheels and tires, then lower the truck to the ground. Tips & Warnings While working on the front suspension, consider upgrading the truck's stock drum brakes to disc brakes. The kit is easy to install while the spindle is off of the truck and may save you time later. *Part V: He|in9Your Car Look lts Best p If you have a convertible with a plastic rear window, that window may become cloudy from oxidation, especially if the hot sun shines on it constantly. Excellent conditioners designed to keep plastic windows clear and supple without scratching them are available. If your car's rear window is already clouded beyond visibility, Meguiar's Plastic Cleaner is a unique heavy-duty product that polishes the cloudy stuff right off the window, leaving it relatively clear again. If you must park your car where the sun can shine directly on its plastic window for long periods of time, cover the outside of the window with an old towel to protect it from the sun. Chrome and metal trim Several excellent polishes are designed specifically to clean chrome without scratching the delicate layer of plating. These preparations not only clean the metal without scratching it but also retard rust and leave the surface bright and shining. You can use chrome polish on other metal surfaces, too. Here are some tips for polishing chrome and metal trim: V Try not to get the polish on the surrounding paint. The polish can discolor the paint. V Be sure to do the inside surfaces of the bumpers, too, if you can reach them. And don't forget the metal hubcaps or wheel covers and the metal frames around the lights and side mirrors. U* If you find rust on any metal area, get rid of the stuff immediately! For instructions, rush directly to the section on rust removal in Chapter 24. M* After you clean the metal surfaces, wax them to prevent rust from forming. Use a special wax designed for chrome bumpers and metal surfaces, because these areas require more protection than painted surfaces do. Other types of wax may prevent the chrome from getting the oxygen it needs to preserve its shine. 1035

A brush or kitchen scouring pad removes the stubborn stuff, but before you go at it like you're scrubbing your bathroom grout, be sure to wet the tires. Never use gasoline or kerosene to clean tires. If your car has whitewalls that are extremely dirty or greasy, you may have to resort to a special whitewall cleaner to restore them to their original pristine good looks. If you want your tires to look extremely shiny and spiffy, here's an inside tip: Car dealers and people with show cars have been known to wax their tires with Lemon Pledge furniture polish! Extremely scuffed tires can be painted with "tire black," a preparation for that purpose sold at auto supply stores. Whether or not you're going for appearances, I suggest that you spray your tires with a silicone lubricant every once in a while to preserve the rubber. .Chapter 23: Keeping Your Car Clean and Beautiful A7Q Coni/ertibte tops If you have a convertible with a cloth top (also known as a ragtop), keep it clean by vacuuming it often or by using a whisk broom to get the dust out of the areas around the trim. This is not just a matter of cleanliness; the dirt can cause the fabric to rot away if it's allowed to remain there. Do the following to keep your ragtop in good shape: Check the top occasionally to make sure that it's not getting caught in the mechanism that raises and lowers it. This can leave greasy streaks on the fabric, weaken it, and cause it to tear. If your top has a plastic rear Daewoo . How do you disable auto door locks on 1993 olds cierra?
